Carole Outlines Her Plans To Reduce Poverty and Homelessness

Victoria, April 29th.--A crowd of supporters greeted Carole as she got off her campaign bus outside of Our Place in downtown Victoria.

Inside more than two hundred people gathered to hear the Victoria Beacon Hill candidates debate the issues of poverty and homelessness at a forum organized by Our Place, Faith In Action and the Committee to End Homelessness in Victoria.

Carole outlined her plan for reducing homelessness and poverty which includes: raising minimum wage and income assistance rates and building more social housing units. As noted by Times Colonist columnist Les Leyne on April 30th, Carole "was the star of the show, getting strong support throughout the night from the crowd."
